A Little Bit About Me
Salaam, not too sure what to say here. My parents were both born in East Africa but are of Asian descent. I'm a practicing Muslim, I pray daily and try to go to the mosque a few times per week, still aiming to get all prayers on time though, insha'Allah I'll get there.
I work for a Canadian company in the I.T. industry which does include a bit of out-of-hours work and on-call, but I try not to let it detract from my social life too much.
I’d like to think of myself as a genuine person with good intentions. On that note, I’d have no issues with someone I’d potentially be meeting for a coffee, being accompanied by a family member or friend if that’s their preference.
I’m aware my profile might read as though I’m a bit of a big kid, however I wanted to be transparent and present myself accurately. Rest assured, I’m definitely a fully functional, responsible adult.
P.S. I find taking pictures of myself very awkward, but I promise I don't look this awkward in real life. I think I might be closer to 5'11, but I didn’t want to exaggerate my height just in case. Also, I have a kinda big nose. Well, it’s not that big, but now I know you scrolled back up to check and gave me a second look 😅
FAQs: Apparently, a lot of people are not honest, so here are answers to some frequently asked questions:
Marital status: I'm definitely not married.
Children: I definitely do not have any children.
Height: I'm definitely at least 5'10, bring a measuring tape if you wish 📏
Pictures: Most of them are very recent other than New York. I do have more greys in my facial hair than what it looks like in the pictures, though, going to have to invest in hair dye soon 👀
Age: As much as I hate to say it, my age is accurate, but I'm not using pictures taken from many years ago.
I'm pretty health conscious, so I'm definitely not into anything like clubs, alcohol, shisha, smoking or vaping. And while I do not judge, I feel I would not be compatible with anyone who does these things. The worst thing I probably do is eat desserts.
I love martial arts and sports (except for football), have studied martial arts for a long time, occasionally teach adults, and teach kids every week. An amateur gymnast and free-runner too (I can hold a handstand for nearly a minute, definitely marriage material).
TV Shows:- Stranger Things and comedies like Scrubs/Big **** Theory, and also the odd anime. I do enjoy movies that keep you guessing, The Prestige is probably one of my favourites.
I used to go horse riding and want to get back into that, and also want to go snowboarding again too, someone take me back to the Alps :'(
I do enjoy travelling, plot twist, I've never been to Dubai!
In the time I'm not working or engaged in activity, I enjoy learning about the amazing universe God created for us and also how the human body works. I like listening to Prof. Brian Cox and Dr Rhonda Patrick (okay I'll admit it, I've got a bit of a crush on her ☺️)

What I Am Looking For
I decided to try and write about myself as accurately as I could so that people know what I'm like. I guess it's better to be honest than just pretend to be someone else.
I'd be looking for anyone that would accept me for the type of person that I am, and someone who wouldn't mind that I'm not hugely into Asian culture. Someone who is into the fun side of life, someone who always tries to make the best of a situation like myself. Ideally the person would be interested in sports / adventurous activities, I love to experience different things and would love to share those experiences with someone. As cliché as it sounds, I truly am looking for a best friend who I can share absolutely everything with, and who would share everything with me.
It would be a bonus if that person also liked learning martial arts (because I love teaching it), but maybe I'm asking a bit too much now :P
As cliché as it sounds, I truly am looking for a best friend, not just a wife. After all, life and eternity in the hereafter is a long time, so it’s best if we get along. That’s not to say my partner would need to share all my interests, but I would love someone who enjoys deep and meaningful conversations. I don’t think marriage should be about finding someone with the exact same interests, but rather building a partnership that can respectfully understand and handle each other’s differences.
Finally, I'm looking for someone who is passionate about something that is outside of their daily job.
